Each year, the Alliance For Community Media Central States Region salutes the best community programming with a regional competition, the Philo T. Farnsworth Video Festival. AccessVision has once again been honored with a total of four "Philo" awards and nominations for two Overall Excellence Awards for its programming. AccessVision will begin its 23rd season of “High School Sports” this fall when Kalamazoo Central travels to the Cereal City to do battle with the Battle Creek Central on August 26th in the oldest rivalry of the state. |
AccessVision To Air Local High School Graduation Ceremonies Tuesday, June 14, 2011 - 4:07pm
Once again this year, the volunteers and staff of AccessVision, Battle Creek’s Community Access Cable Station, have recorded the graduation ceremonies of Battle Creek Central and Lakeview High Schools. The ceremonies will air on Comcast Channel 17 for the next two weeks as well as streaming on AccessVision's website. |

This year marks the 22nd year in a row that AccessVision staff and volunteers have braved the cold weather to bring all of the sights and sounds of the Annual Battle Creek Holiday Parade to the warmth of the viewer's living room.The parade is planned and executed every year by the volunteers of the Harper Creek Optimist Club. Long-time volunteer Teresa Durham hosted the parade, along side Harper Creek Optimist himself, Jim Demarest. |
AccessVision Announces Winter Sports Schedule Thursday, November 11, 2010 - 11:13am
AccessVision volunteers begin the winter schedule on December 3rd with the BC Revolution Hockey. This will be the first year that AccessVision has covered our local professional hockey team.Each game will be videotaped during the week for transmission on channel 17 & digital cable channel 917 that Saturday at 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., Sunday at 3 p.m. and will air for a fourth time Monday at 4 p.m., unless otherwise noted *. Having uploaded hundreds of videos over the past three years, we wanted to make navigation of the videos easy.
