Battle Creek's Community Access Television Station
Due to the current public health crisis, in order to keep our volunteers and staff safe, AccessVision will be CLOSED to the public starting at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 16th until at least Monday, April 20th at 8 a.m. Staff will still be on hand to answer phones, etc. but there will be NO equipment checkouts or volunteer usage of the facility during this time. We will still be accepting imported programming but please call ahead to make arrangements for dropping off shows.
Each year, the Alliance For Community Media Central States Region salutes the best community programming with a video contest, the Philo Festival Of Media Arts Video Competition. AccessVision, the Battle Creek area's community television facility, has once again been honored with two "Philo" awards for videos created by its volunteers and staff.
Fred Dixon was a Winner in the Promotional Video (3:01 or more) (non-professional) category for “Fort Custer National Cemetery Volunteer Honor Guard”.
AccessVision will begin its 31st season of “High School Sports” this fall when the St. Joseph Bears travel to Battle Creek to take on the BCC Bearcats in football on August 29th.
Each game will be videotaped during the week for transmission on Comcast channel 17 & digital channel 917 and on AT&T Uverse channel 99 that Saturday at 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., Sunday at 3 p.m. and will air for a fourth time Monday at 8 p.m., unless otherwise noted *.
